To Setesdal and the south coast
| RV 41 by Treungen and Åmli to Dølemo, short stop at Øy for a visit of Øy Gallerie & Design. Sidetrip to Tovdal where the well known Todal jewelleries are manufactured and where works of Norwegian artists of renown are exhibited at the Hillestad Gallerie. (The road from Dølemo to Tovdal is marked by huge spears!) RV 413 to Mykland and further on RV 42 to Evje where we recommend a visit to the Mineral Park, a mine excavated for the purpose of housing an impressive collection of minerals and stones from all over the world, an experience out of 1001 Nights. RV 39 to Kristiansand, the capital of Southern Norway for exciting shopping and a visit to the famous Kristiansand Zoo, which is lot more than a zoo, and the replica of "Kardemomme Town" straight out of the book and play by Torbjørn Egner, also to be found there. Proceed along the E 18 to the coastal town of Arendal on to Fiane. From there and follow the RV 415 to Åmli and the RV 41 back to Vrådal. Full day trip, approximately 420 km |
