The veteran boat M/S Fram
| The veteran boat M/S Fram offers sightseeing on the lakes Nisser and Vråvatn in Vrådal. The two lakes offers narrow straits, beaches and locks. On board you can enjoy the famous Fram waffles as well as icecream, chocolate, soft drinks, beer and wine. M/S Fram sails sceduled tours from May to October and max capacity is 90 persons. The boat is also available for charter. M/S Fram is operated by the Quality Straand Hotel & Resort and has her home base at the hotel pier. The history of M/S Fram She was built in 1909 for the purpose of tugging timber on the Nisser and Vråvatn lakes. When lorries took over the transportation of timber M/S Fram was no longer needed for tugging purposes. In 1986 she was rebuilt into the passenger boat she is today. |
